letter of abandonment

Do you know what this is and how to get one. I need it to cash out a pension and i dont know where my spouse is. I am filing for divorce, but need my to cash out the pension sooner than that.

An attorney could probably draft an affidavit or other form that would attest to the fact that the spouse through her actions of secreting herself and failing to maintain contact with you, has in effect abandoned any marital claim which she may have to your pension benefits.

The attorney could probably prepare such a document in a couple of hours of his/her professional time and bill you, accordingly.
