Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I am wanting to get a divorce from my mentally abusive husband. I have no paper proof that he did this abuse but ANYONE who even knows him a little can tell you he is an aggressive liar. He has cheated on me but still no hard proof. Also we have a small daughter together and i cant let him get joint custody. He has never bathed her or put her to sleep. He doesnt know what to feed her, when to feed her. He screams and rants in front of her. How can i get sole custody with him having only supervised visitation? My daughter will not even go to him unless its to play for a minute or you trick her into it. He doesnt have stable housing as of yet, or a vehicle. What are my chances of getting what my daughter needs? He is an unfit father.
