Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

I bought and paid for a vehicle which I then agreed to allow a friend to borrow for a period of time. Because I did not have a license at the time we added his name to the title in order to get tags on the car. During the time he was using the car he wrecked it. He verbally agreed to pay to fix the vehicle and then return it to me. It has been over a year since he wrecked the vehicle and in the last 3 months he has stopped answering my calls or responding at all. He has yet to repair or return my car. Do I have any legal recourse?

yes. You can go to General District Court, or small claims court depending on the amount of your claim. Go to the General District Court in the County where you live and the Clerk's office will provide you with the forms you need to complete and have served.
