Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

If I am out of VA state and someone is trying to serve me papers in VA, would I get into trouble?

Trouble, what kind of trouble? (Not being available to be served

with civil lawsuit papers is not a jailable offense in the Commonwealth.)
