Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Virginia

My brother in law recently passed away. He had listed on his life insurance as beneficiary his home health nurse as primary and his son as contingent. She will only pay for a portion of the funeral cost. Being an LPN is this against nursing code of ethics

No, probably not (in my opinion). A testator (will writer) is normally given a

wide range of latitude in determining beneficiaries named in his or her

will.

I would note, however, this will could still be challenged if it could be shown

that this LPN exercised coercion, duress, or other unlawful means on the

testator in order to get herself listed as a beneficiary in his will.
