Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

an attorney from the firm i hired for a carwreck has contacted me to say that MY attorney didnt submit something to the courts & i can no longer go to court to sue the other partys insur company. they stated it was their error & they would take care of any unpaid medical but i have nothing in writing & this new attorney says he wont "negotiate" with me as it would be unseemly. to be fair i was never looking for a McMillion, just wanted medical & a small fair settlement. this is a pretty good sized firm with offices in a few diff cities & i really dont know what my expectations should be now ? thank u

Michael Hendrickson Law Office Michael E. Hendrickson

You should find out exactly what this "something" was that allegedly was not timely filed and in what court and the date that it should've been filed, and then, perhaps, arrange for a consultation with another lawyer to give you an independent opinion on the matter.
