Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

I was injured in a non-fault accident.......

i sustained shoulder and back injuries in a non at fault accident. i was hit almost head on by a driver who failed to yield the right of way. the accident happened in january and it happened while i was driving my company vehicle because i was running a task for my job. i have been to the doctors several times and i am now in physical therapy 3 times a week for a month as it stands. i have not contacted a lawyer and the insurance company has not contacted me. my therapists says i have severe muscle spasms from the accident but all my medical bills are being paid by worker's compensation, should i contact a lawyer now, or is it safe to wait a little longer?

Go ahead and contact an attorney. The insurance company for the guy that hit you (if there is one) needs to be notified sooner as opposed to later because its insured may not have done what he was supposed to do as far as notification. If thast goes to long without correcting it could give the insurance a defense to the claim.

You should always consult with a lawyer ASAP after an accident in which you suffer personal injuries. While workers comp will have a lien on any recovery, you may well have a claim for more than that against the other driver (which may or may not be collectible depending on how much insurance the other driver has).
