Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Deed

I wish to draft and file my own deed to remove my roommate�s name from the current deed to my real property. I have a degree as a paralegal, so that's no problem, but I am concerned that since another person is involved, this could be misconstrued as practicing law without a license. My roommate has agreed to this. Can I draft and file a deed that conveys title from ''My Name and Roommate'' to ''MY Name''?
