Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Interpertation of Subdivision Restrictions

My subdivision restrictions state the following ''Any recreational vehicles owned by any homeowner, must be kept and maintained out of view from the subdivision roads.'' The HOA is applying this restrictions to boats, saying that they are ''recreational vehicles.'' Furthermore, they are thereating to take to court any homeowner who does not have his boat in compliance. I believe that is an overly broad and out of the ordinary definition. Please give me your opinion.

Re: Interpertation of Subdivision Restrictions

I'm afraid that you're wrong; boats are indeed considered recreational vehicles and therefore subject to the restrictions imposed by these covenants.
