Legal Question in Social Security Law in Virginia

back payment hold up

My daughter and myself are to receive back payment on my ex-husbands SSD benefits. He lives in NH and we live in VA. We filed in Sept. 2006 and still have not received any type of payment. He also owes $15,000 in back child support and his SSD income was not garnished to pay that back. What should I do about these issues with SSD?

Re: back payment hold up

I would first, call the SS 800 number, second, I would go to your local SS office, and third, I would contact your Congressman or US Senator. They usually have a SS troubleshooter in the office.
