My husband died two weeks ago. I just learned that he never changed the beneficiary on his life insurance policy. I have been his wife for 8 years and we have two small children. Right now the beneficiary is his mom, but he designated her before we met. Is there anything I can do?

Unfortunately, the general answer is that the designated beneficiary controls under Federal Law.
