Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Is there a resource that clearly breaks down the rights of a custodial parent. My X is setting global punishments like restricting 2-3 basketball games etc. I asked that we talk about these punishments and agree. He refused and then I stated that I am the custodial parent and want to make sure punishments that span weeks are reasonable and that we both agree. He said I didn't have any authority. I need to know my rights.

Look at your parenting plan. If it does not delineate how decision making authority over punishments or extra-curricular activities are divided, then depending on the language of the parenting plan regarding how to settle disputes, you either need to engage in mediation, counseling, arbitration, or you need to file a motion in court to modify the parenting plan on the basis of your current situation, and ask for language to clarify how decisions are made on punishments.
