Legal Question in Personal Injury in Washington

I was recently injured in a car accident, and seeing a physical therapist 3 times a week. Do I need a lawyer? If so, can I request that the person who hit me pay for my legal fees, or would it be deducted from any judgement?

The insurance companies aren't your friend. In general, even in what may seem to be a not-too-serious accident, you're better off with a lawyer who handles personal injury regularly. The fees are almost always just a percentage of what the lawyer can get for you (usually one-third), and what's left for you after lawyer fees is generally significantly more than what you'd get on your own. Plus, then you let the lawyer deal with it. If you're in the Seattle area, I'd refer you to Marty Fox. He's been at it 30 years, and knows his stuff. Tell him Sam from Portland sent you. Most of all, I hope you feel better!
