Driving While License Suspened

I was arrested for DWLS. I never recieved the letter saying that license was suspened. Can they actually charge me with this?

Yes. The Department of Licensing is required to send a notice of suspension to the address you have provided. Proof of notice is required; however, actual receipt by you is not. There are a number of defenses to consider and you should seek the advice of an attorney.

At a minimum, you should enter a plea of Not Guilty and reinstate your driving privilege. If you have a good driving record and do not have prior convictions for driving while license suspended, the prosecutor will likely be willing to reduce the misdemeanor to the infraction of No License On Person or something similar.
