Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Wisconsin

Credit card Payment

A relative bought me a car in Texas 3yrs ago with her credit card to help me so I could get a job in Wisconsin. I have been paying her for 3yrs. Now that I have health proplems, and I will be out of work for a while, I can not pay as before. She now wants to come and get the car which is my main transportation to work once I return to work. I have payed over 6000 dollars for this car which costed 6000 dollars. I never signed any papers to this affect and I have asked for her last few statements on the card to see if she is still useing the card for qther perchases or not. I have not gotten them. If I have any legal rights to the car please inform me.

Re: Credit card Payment

Hello,

Whose name is the car in? If yours, then she will have a hard time getting the car. Without knowing that, it is difficult to say what the options are. Check the deed at the department of motor vehicles. I think she would have to take you to small claims court to get possession, but again the title is important. Best wishes, Mark J. Mahoney
