Recovery of Cash Seized After Marijuana Arrest

Cash seized after drug arrests is rarely returned. Instead, it is normally held as evidence of drug dealing. Depending upon your prior record and other possible evidence of dealing activity, it may be feasible to sue for return of the cash. However, the cost of such litigation could exceed the amount in question. Conscientious prosecutors may sometimes agree with a lawyer's request to return of cash in a situation involving nothing more than a tiny quantity of drugs if there is no other evidence of drug trafficking.
