Legal Question in Family Law in Wisconsin

Father wants involvement w/ one child but not another

The father of my 2 month old wants visitation and joint custody with her, but has had nothing to do with his 4 year old son. Does his lack of interest with his 4 year old influence the judge's decision with the case involving my child?

Re: Father wants involvement w/ one child but not another

Hello,

It is likely that the father can get joint custody and some placement rights, unless there are facts that I dont know about. Just because he doesnt see the other child, does not mean he will be denied the new one. What your options are, depends on the circumstances of your situation that can best be evaulated by an attorney you work with.

Best wishes, Mark J. Mahoney
