Legal Question in Employment Law in Wisconsin

I have a friend who was wrongfully terminated due to a false sexual harassment complaint. Now he is part of a union he was working with his union rep but now all of a sudden his union rep wont return his phone calls. He is at his witts end. This is something that could follow him the rest of his life. I just need to know where to go from here? There was no investigation into the charges. They just fired him no questions asked... What do we do now????

He should request a response from his union in writing asking if they are going to arbitrate his termination, and, if not, why. He might also consider filing a gender discrimination complaint with the Equal Rights Division of the WI Dept. of Workforce Development. It's a stretch but they will do an investigation and, at least, your friend will get some answers. If they would not have summarily fired a woman in this or a similar circumstance, it might be considered gender discrimination.
