Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama

i got my wages garnished over a credit card debt i only make 7.75 an hour they are taking 25% of my wages which is 70 dollars and some change a week can they do this and what can i do to stop this cause this is my only paycheck that supports my family
