Legal Question in Workers Comp in Alabama

hospice nurse injured on way to pt

I am a registered nurse, working for a hospice. May 28th on the way to my last patients house, on the clock, I had a seizure, wrecked my car and broke my back. I have never had a seizure before. My primary physician says it was more than likely because of a great deal of stress and working a month straight with only four days off. The previous month I worked a month with 6 days off. My doctor wrote WC and let them know, they still won't make a decision, but they tell me that they will more than likely deny my claim. I spoke with a former supervisor and she let me know that organizational wide I had the highest productivity and hours worked of all the employees, (over 250), the main office has the records.. Do you think that I would have a solid case if they do deny me? Thank you very much.

Re: hospice nurse injured on way to pt

You might have a case. I would have to meet with you to review the doctor's report and discuss the facts surrounding what led to your stress level. It is difficult to give you a yes or no answer without knowing more.
