Legal Question in Personal Injury in Arizona

lawyers fees
we hired a new attorney after first attorney quit.Before he quit,he was offered a settlement from other driver's company which we did not discuss because we were fed up with this lawyer's lack of response.Received a letter from other driver's company stating this is max offer(true)and did we hire new lawyer since first lawyer sent letter that he no longer represents us.Do we have to pay fee to new lawyers as part of this settlement even though this settlement was offered but not discussed with first lawyer?We do not have to pay a fee to first lawyer but wonder if we can deal direct with other company and let new lawyers reach settlement with our company-I had severe injuries and accident not our fault.

Depends on a lot of issues. If you have a contract with both the 2nd lawyer may have to pay a fee to the first.
