what could we do

we just bought a manafactured house ? when the inspector came he mentioned to get the pipes at he said there might be leak. so we asked the seller to fix it by a licenced contractor.they had a reciept from a plumbing company. so we did not check it out again. my husband crawled under house and looked at the work and it does not look like a professional did the job. now what do we do we closed on the house 2 days ago. what can we do what legal grounds do we have the right to.

You should have the work inspected by a licensed contractor and get an estimate on what repairs are still needed (if any are needed at all). Two estimates would be better. Three would be best. The estimates should be as detailed as possible. Ask the contractor to write down what repairs need done and why they need done.

If the necessary repairs are cheap enough, I would just let the issue go. If the necessary repairs are significant and within the scope of what the seller agreed to fix, then you should ask your Realtor to help you (assuming you used a Realtor); if that doesn't work then contact a real estate attorney to help you enforce your rights.

If the work is deficient, make a claim on your warranty. Also, if the manufacturer won't make it right, you have remedies. Manufactured home dealers and manufacturers are licensed by the state and a complaint can be filed with the board, which requires an inspection and remedies.
