Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona

inheritance and ssi for a minor

my girl friend(who lives with me but pays me rent) has a child who is currently on ssi. she has just recieved an inheritance of over 30k(two more portions to follow in the future) and she has been told that she needs to report it immediately and also needs to spend it and show receipts. she would rather not spend it all at once. she is worried that she will lose all benifits for her child because of this. is there any way that she can receive these monies and for example invest them or put them in to any type of account. she is not trying to hide these funds, she just doesnt want to lose the benifits for her child

Your girlfriend should see an experienced estate planning attorney RIGHT NOW (and not me, I don't have the experience). This is not something that you should try to do on your own.
