Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona

Step daughter controls info, Father dies

My father died in November. My step mother and father moved to Arizona 8-months prior to his death at the step daughters insistance that she could help them better down there. My stepmother to my knowledge is in a nursing home and her daughter controls everything. I've not been informed of a will or anything. I am not interested in his money but the family heirlooms from my grandmother and him are important to me. I recieved info from another relative that my step mother was instrumental in removing things from my grandmothers home when she passed. How do I find out if there was a will and if so get a copy of it? Am I entitled to a copy? Thank you

You are entitled to a copy of the will. If your father died with a will, the will will control how his assets are distributed. If he died without a will, you are entitled to a share of his estate. You should make a written request to the stepmother to see the will, and send a copy to the stepdaughter. If that gets no results, check to see if anyone has opened probate. If no one has opened probate, then you could file a petition with the court to open probate and to appoint you as the personal representative.
