Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona

Suicide and Probate Law

A friend's partner (common law)

committed suicide recently and his

truck (only real property) was taken

by the state. The surviving partner is

quite poor and the truck would mean

a lot to her. Does suicide nullify

one's will? Does my friend have any

rights to the truck as surviving

partner?

Re: Suicide and Probate Law

Suicide does not nullify a valid Will. A partner does not have any rights of heirship, except as provided in a valid Will, or some other contract or agreement.
