Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arkansas

Account sold can they sue?

I am being sued for a credit card debt which was closed by the original creditor. This company is the 2nd or 3rd buyer of this account and they are suing me. I have not received any bills in over a year. Can they sue? Can I contact their law firm and make payments and avoid court?

Have they actually sued you and sent you a complaint to answer or appear in court? Or, are they just threatening to sue? Is it a collection agency or a law firm?

Either way, they will probably be willing to set up a payment plan so you can pay it out.
