Legal Question in Family Law in Arkansas

Emergency Ex Parte Order

My Ex got an Emergency Ex Parte Order, giving him temporary custody of our 2 children, signed by a judge on June 30 of this year. It has not gone to court and no court date has been made for this. My question is does it still hold or has it expired. I was told that it should have expired 60 days after it was issued if it did not go to court. Is this true andt is then does the original custody arrangement hold now.

Re: Emergency Ex Parte Order

Unless the order itself says it expires it DOES NOT expire until you go to court and challenge it. The longer you wait the more it hurts your case since it appears you don't challenge the order.
