Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Debtor Obligation for Small Claims Court Decisions

I am suing for $2,250 in small claims court and I know I will win. The defendent recently threatened me that if I try to collect the judgment, she will file for bankruptcy the next day. She is a graduate student (still taking out loans) and she recently quit her job but I know she will find a new one. Can she get out of this judgment by filing bankruptcy?
