contact an attorney that specializes in employment law (I am not one of them). Employers bear the burden of keeping time records and making them available upon demand, but whether or not you have the legal right to your wages in your particular case depends on numerous facts that would be difficult to extract in this advice-board environment

Employers are entitled to dock for late arrival and early departure by some reasonable amount, like 1/4 hour, or ten minutes, whatever is specified in the company policies. If you claim you worked the day but didn't punch in or out, you have a dispute with no hard guidelines, other than that if proved, your claim entitles you to pay. If it isn't resolved with some agreed payment, you could file a claim with the Labor Commissioner.
