Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

I was dismissed from work because a laptop code specific to my laptop was used to access a prepaid internet wifi account using passenger details. During the time that the internet was used, I was asleep and have a witness, when my laptop was searched by the it management they could not find any details of the internet activity and for part of the internet usage I have a receipt to say that I was in a shop paying for some stuff which could be verified by CCTV.

You can have the best 'defense' and alibi in the world, and you can still be fired.

Unfortunately for you, not only are there no laws in CA against poor management, 'unfair treatment' by management or other employees, but in general, unless an employee is civil service, in a union, or has a written employment contract, they are an 'at will' employee that can be disciplined or terminated any time for any reason, with or without cause, explanation or notice. Here they have 'suspicion' as their 'cause', and even though you can show they are wrong, it doesn't help you. Any employee's goal should be to keep their supervisors happy and make them look good to the company, and make the company money. Thats how the company pays employee wages. If you don't, then don't be surprised to be replaced.
