Legal Question in Consumer Law in California
Is it lawful for a retail store to require a search of a consumer's personal property prior ( bag, purse, etc.) to shopping as you enter.

If a private security does this kind of stuff they're infringing the 4th Amendment. Therefore its not lawful to conduct these searches.
