Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

getting married

I have a lot of defaulted student loan and credit card debt. If I filed taxes and

was due a refund it is attached and would go to creditors. If my boyfreind and

I got legally married could those creditors then sue him to pay them and or

attach his wages or tax refunds? If so is there any way to keep that from

happening, other than to pay it off?

Re: getting married

Not likely, they can try but it is separate debt. Why don't you file for bankruptcy protection? Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
