Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I just got a notice of renewal of judgement in California. I thought after ten years statue of limitations kicked in. Is there any way to stop this renewal other then paying off the debt?

You can pay it, ignore it, negotiate it or bankrupt it.

Judgments can be renewed over and over. You can examine the renewal and notice of renewal and see if it is defective in some way
