small claims law suit
In reviewing my credit report I have a derogatory item from a creditor that is out of the state of california. Can I file a small claims law suit here in San Diego, CA.? How can I serve this company?

You cannot serve small claims court outside of California. Therefore, you would have to sue them in Superior Court. You should try to dispute this with the CRA's first.
