Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Sueing a collection agency

I paid a debt to a collection agency 3 years ago.Yesterday I got copies of my credit report & the debt was still showing. I filed a dispute with Experian. After contacting the collection agency they said I still owe. When I called the company they apologized and said they accidentally showed I owed them .04 cents. And have since cleared my acct. But just the day before they told Experian I still owed the amount. Now I have to refile my dispute with them. This has cost me 3 years of bad credit. Can I sue them ?

Yes, you can sue them. If the debt is not removed in a timely manner, you may call me. I have pending litigation in this area.
