Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I was convicted of having an argumentwith a woman i share a child with and her feeling scared so pdwere called. i recived a letter in the mail approx 4 weeks later telliing me i had to appear in court. i pled no lo and recieved no jail time and recived 52 weeks of counsoling. My question is is it possiable for a judge to sighn off on the firearm law so i can attend the police academy? what type of judge do i speak to. off probation for four years an date of offense was 1999? I think you will find that no police agency will even consider you with a firearms ban and domestic violence charge in your background. You may also find that you won't be allowed to enroll in the POST training or academy either. I suggest you have a sincere heart-to-heart talk with any agency you are interested in, before spending time and money trying to get into training that would be of no value to you. If you actually find an agency that would even consider you IF your firearms rights were restored, then feel free to contact me about the process.
