Expungement & Background Checks

I had never benn in trouble w/the law until 5 yrs. ago when I became addicted to painkillers(surgery went bad,on pain meds x4months)I now have 3 misdemeanors.1st one is changing rx script. The last 2 are theft(trying to get money to get pills).Last incident over 1 yr. ago,went thru rehab,clean/sober x1yr.Just grad.from college as ultrasound tech,can't get a job,bakgrnd cks killing me.Would expungement help or is there away around doing background checks?

Some, maybe all, of your convictions might be expunged, once probation terms are all successfully completed. If successful, you get to say 'no' to convictions on private job applications, but must disclose on any applications for govt jobs, licensing, bonding, etc. Once expunged, they shouldn't bar you from any such employment, but it would be up to the agency. They will show as dismissed charges on your background check, forever. Records are forever. Feel free to contact me if serious about getting it done.
