Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

felony 314.1pc

My 71 yr old uncle was charged with

Felony 314.1p - lewd act(he has

blatter problem and he was going on

the street). He has been a drunk for

most of his life and has nearly no

education.He was charge and

convicted as a sex offender to similar

charges. I went to his arranement

and I was told not to ask for bail

reduction 35k becuase it will damage

the case. He has been cought 3x, no

one has help him and has gotten the

book thrown at him. with his 3rd

grade mind is there any defense

saying he has been wrongly accused

in the past and they are bringing the

past being they was no witness ever

and no one called. It alwas being a

police officer being suspicious bringing

his charges and bringing him to this

sentence. Help anyone?

The only help that is going to do him any good is to get him an attorney to properly defend the charges. If he can't afford private counsel, then apply for the public defender. I'm guessing he didn't have counsel in the other cases, because an attorney would have presented his defenses and witnesses and arguments. There is an old saying that applies, "man who represent self have fool for client". Feel free to contact me if serious about getting him private counsel.
