Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

my friends house was raided 2 days ago and he drove by when it was going on but didnt stop. now he needs to know what to do. there were drugs in the house and he has not been back nor has he called the sheriffs dept. obviously he needs an atty but how do we go about this. he is blind and really scared

You should contact an attorney as soon as possible. That way if a warrant for his arrest goes out, the attorney can appear with him in court and address the situation prior to being arrested. This will also likely reduce the bail amount and even convince the court to allow him to be out on his promise to appear in court while the case is going on. Also, once represented, the police will be directed to the attorney for any questions they want answered.

If he really thinks he will face criminal charges [with contraband in the house, he likely will], then the only advice that is worth anything is for him to get legal counsel who knows how and what to do to best represent him. Tell him to SHUT UP, and say nothing to anyone but his attorney. If serious about doing this right, feel free to contact me.
