What is a bench warrant and how do I get rid of it?? The charge is not complying with community service on a fraud charge.

Re: Outstanding Bench Warrant

If you can't or won't do your community service, I'm sure the judge will be happy to let you do jail time instead. A bench warrant means you're a wanted fugitive. Just do nothing and someone will be by, sooner or later, to arrest you and take you to jail. Or visit the court clerk's office any morning at 8 AM sharp and tell them you are there to clear your warrant.
