Legal Question in Discrimination Law in California

co worker's actions

I have a co-worker who is hostile towards me in the work place. For example during a conference call meeting with 2 of my reports he got angry and hung up. He then proceeded to call my 2 reports individual and say that he would not be ''disrespected'' so he hung up. I am not an easily intemidated person but since this incidence I have been hesitant about my interaction with him...which is going to effect my job in the long run. I have gone to my boss (who is also his boss since we are equal level managers) and explained the situation, my uneasiness since the incidence, etc. I have lost sleep and am concerned that this will have an increasingly negative effect on my ability to work in the same department effectively with this person. The person is male and I am female...which is may be part of the basis on which this person acts, along with the nationality difference (I am caucation and he is Indian) HELP!!!

I'd love to help, but you have not described anything that will be any help as far as the law is concerned.

Please e-mail my office, or resubmit, is you want to add facts.
