Legal Question in DUI Law in California

i was convicted on a D.U.I. case. I've paid and completed all the requirements now I'm only on probation for three years. A year of my probation has passed and i want to know if i could get out of probation earlier because i want to apply for residency and i wouldn't want probation to affect me. i have no prior criminal record other than this. So am i able to get out of probation earlier than the two years that remain?

It's going to come up. When it does, you should have a thick folder full of proof of all the AA meetings you've been attending each and every week. You can always ask the court to terminate your probation early, and you have nothing to lose by asking, but I'm not optimistic either that the judge would grant your request or that it would make a difference for you in the near term.
