Legal Question in Elder Law in California

older sister guardianship

I am struggling with my sister's caregiving (age 79) as can no longer care for herself and rather defiant about giving up her rights. Doctors & neighbors say we need to do something. I'm willing to take over her needs, but what legal steps do I need to pursue. Thank You

Re: older sister guardianship

Get a conservatorship if she resists. You have to file in court, and likely need experienced counsel to assist you.
