Legal Question in Family Law in California

Went through a California Divorce in 2007. Final paperwork was sent back to my husband because he filed without my signature on final paperwork. When paperwork was sent back by the court he was in the hospital recovering from a auto accident so the papers are still not finalized. Is there a certain amount of time that can pass to finish paperwork or does this still mean we are married?

You are still married. You must either set the matter for trial and, after the trial, you will get a divorce judgment then, or one of you must submit fully completed, signed and correct paperwork for a stipulated judgment and the paperwork must be approved by the judge and he or she must issue the judgment. Until one of those things happens, you will continue to be legally married.
