Legal Question in Family Law in California

Custody & Visitation

My fiance has had his three children over the past three years. The mother of his children have no consitency with them, she comes over unannounced and whenever it is convenient for her. She always says she would come and visit, but NEVER follows through. She only came around on her time and expected us to give up any plans we had to accomadate her. We finally got tired of her coming in and out the childrens lives that we took her to court to set up a more reasonable visitation plan, so she can't come over whenever she feels like it. My finace's original intention was to ask for sole custody of his children because his ex is very unstable, but during mediation, she came up with the plan of having 50/50 custody. He would have them for one week, and she would have them for one week. Her first week she was supposed to have them, of course she doesn't follow through. She says she is unable to have them because she doesnt have a stable place to live, but we really think its because of her new boyfriend. I have documented every time she calls with an excuse, to actually speak to the kids, and visits for the past two years. She still hasnt followed the order and its been over a month..what steps do we take now? A review isnt until May
