Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hi, I have been married since 4 years. I'm working in California for 2 years. I gave all my money to my husband and he built 6 apartments in our home country(India). I did all the household work after office hours. He treated me like a maid, abused me for small mistakes that I did in day to day activities. I was praying & waiting for him to change. But all of a sudden, he is asking for a divorce now. He cancelled my credit cards, bank accounts and leasing rentals. He is planning to settle the divorce with some small amount and remarry someone else. I met with a bad accident before the marriage, had severe injury in my right leg & still I cannot walk properly as I have a plate inside. He had promised me that he'll take care of my medical needs and make me walk well. But till now, he didn't even take me to any doctor for consultation. Day by day, he is threatening me that he'll screw up my life and job so that I cannot stay in California and will make me go back to my home country soon. He had recorded my phone conversation with my mom and couple of weeks back, he ran away with my passport for 2 days when I got a good offer to go to UK in my office and had to I cancel all my tickets. Similarly I have 100's of situations in which he tortured me literally. I don't have any proof of his misbehavior. Now even I dont like to live with him anymore. But I don't want to get cheated by him in the divorce settlement. Please advice.
