Legal Question in Family Law in California

move my court case

I reside in Marin County and my court case is in Solano Co. My divorce originated in Solano County but neither me or my ex to be reside there anymore and it takes hours to get there. Also, the court has appointed minor's council and they charge for that in Solano Co. but not in Marin Co. I reside in Marin Co and my ex to be resides in Sonoma Co. Is there a reason we cannot move the case closer to both of our homes?

So long as neither of you live in Solano County you can file a motion for a change of venue. You should file a motion for change of venue.
