if a police officer comes to my door because my ex-boyfriend saying they have property in my house do i have to open the door?

You can open your door and talk to him, but you don't have to let him in unless he has a warrant. If you let him in voluntarily, that is called consent, and is an exception to a warrant.

You do not even have to open the door without a warrant.
