Legal Question in Family Law in California

Pre-nuptial agreements and Divorce laws

If I marry in New York and move to another state, would a prenuptial agreement still stand up from the state I was married in or divorce in? If it is the state I'm living in, please tell California's divorce laws vs. NY regarding spliting assets acquired prior to and after marriage? And would we have to set up another prenup when we move to CA?

Re: Pre-nuptial agreements and Divorce laws

An agreement, if valid in the state at the time it was made, will be enforced in any other state.

Therefore, a pre-nup, valid in New York, should be enforceable in Ca.
