Legal Question in Family Law in California

Quick question. Here's the circumstance. Husband left me. We have an 8 year old. He comes by to visit our daughter once a week. During the course of our marriage, i got physical & slapped him 3 times during arguments. That's the extent. He never touched me. Can he file spousal abuse over those events in the past? Nothing was ever filed or reported during those times. Please give me your feedback.
